In's and Out's of May 2025

Body inclusivity and vintage shopping — always in.

As we enter the near halfway point of 2025, what should we leave behind and what should we take with us in order to have a successful summer and strong end to the year? Inspired by author and influencer Eli Rallo, here are my in’s and out’s for May 2025.

In:

Leaving current comfort zones to create new ones

Any sort of pet as long as you can take care of it

Black and white (polka dots specifically)

Bangs

Defensive driving

Chobani zero-sugar yogurt

Romanticizing little things (i.e. cute dishware like miniature spoons)

Cultivating a personal style

Getting medicated

Out:

Not smiling when someone smiles at you

Kanye West

Sending celebrities to space

Donald Trump, Elon Musk, etc.

Bad posture

Hating Taylor Swift for no reason

Caring what literally anyone does if it doesn’t impact you

Buying shirts for more than $20

Not believing walking is a great form of exercise

Posting videos of you or someone else doing shots

Unfollowing people

Being mad your to-go order is taking too long

Unsolicited advice or commentary

Smacking your food

“It’s giving…”

Being “afraid” of AI

Not sleeping with socks on

Aircraft malfunctions (I hope)

Dogs off-leash when they aren’t supposed to be

Not vaccinating your children

Saying you are “so OCD” when you are just organized

Negativity and complaining

Designer bags being a must-have

Not living in the moment

Neon athleisure

Take this list with a grain of salt and do whatever you please (but definitely always smile at strangers and don’t smack your food)!
